E-permits coming to city boards

Among the permit processes that will eventually be available to customers online are: building, electrical, gas and plumbing; fire inspection; License Commission; Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals and Conservation Commission; food inspection, public health, street opening and off-duty police details.

Lighthouse Electrical Contracting nears completion of 220kW agricultural solar installation

Lighthouse Electrical Contracting, Inc., the Rockland, Mass. based NECA Boston Chapter member, is on schedule with the design/build 220kW ground-mount photovoltaic (PV) system at Carlson Orchards. The project is one of the largest solar installations at an agricultural site or farm (more than 3 times larger than 65kW system at Four Star Farms in Northfield)

Northboro doing its homework on where best to put a wind turbine

With the installation of the met tower last week, Northboro kicked off an $85,000 feasibility study that will help determine exactly what kind of turbine would work best. The study is scheduled to be completed in early 2011.
