55 IBEW Local 96 journeymen electricians attended and completed the Worcester Joint Apprenticeship and Training Fund 15-hour 2017 NEC Update Class on January 27 and 28 at the Local 96 union hall in Worcester. The program was instructed by Bill Laidler, a certified code instructor from IBEW Local 223 in Brockton. Another NEC code update class will be scheduled in October 2018.

In November 2017, Susan Coghlin Mailman, president of Coghlin Electrical Contractors, Inc., based in Worcester, MA, was elected to serve a two-year term as president of the Associated Subcontractors of Massachusetts (ASM) at the association’s Biennial Gala in Boston.
